What you see on the map above is a fairly good representation of Tyler Texas and the immediate environs. There are of couple of errors on the map, but very little that might lead you astray.

Just so you know some distances, to the North the map extends for about seventy or eighty miles to Interstate 30 and beyond; to the South, Rusk Texas is about forty miles from Tyler. To the East is Marshall, Texas which is close to fifty miles; and to the West is Athens, Texas which is about forty miles.


DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS

To do business in TYLER TEXAS REAL ESTATE and EAST TEXAS REAL ESTATE, there are three primary routes into the area:

Should one be arriving from the West, Interstate 20 is the West-to-East highway just North of our city. Exiting on US Highway 69 South will bring visitors to Loop 323 (the loop around Tyler). A right turn at the loop feeds traffic all the way around to the south part of town; and the Century 21 office is right off the loop, on Southpark Drive, on the south side.

Arrivals from eastern states would use that same Interstate 20 and exit on State Highway 271 South. Upon intersecting Loop 323, a left turn brings our visitors to the south side of Tyler and the Century 21 office (which is about 200' off the loop).

(Visitors from Northern states or North Texas would arrive on either of those two highways (69 or 271) and follow the instructions.)

Those arriving from Houston or other parts of South Texas would use the main North/South route, US Highway 69. A right turn at Loop 323 puts visitors almost right on top of Century 21 Advantage.


TRAFFIC STRUCTURE

Tyler Texas is a big "wheel" with spokes. And if you know where the spokes are, you can easily navigate the city and surrounding areas. And if you get lost, you can always find the loop which surrounds the city. Highway 69 runs North and South right through Tyler; Highway 31 runs East and West right through Tyler; Highway 64 runs Southeast to Northwest right through Tyler. And there are others easily seen on the map.


LAKES

There are between thirty and forty lakes within a short drive from Tyler. Major lakes of course would include Lake Palestine to the Southwest of the city, and Lake Tyler to the Southeast. Both are very short distances from downtown. Both are good fishing and recreational lakes. Further to the West are three highly rated fishing lakes: Lake Fork, Lake Tawakoni and Cedar Creek Lake. Cedar Creek is close to Athens (Highway 31); and Lake Fork and Lake Tawakoni are right up Highway 69.
