LAKE TYLER EAST . . Just East of Lake Tyler, and connected to it by channel, is Lake Tyler East. It and Lake Tyler are both considered largemouth bass fisheries. Lake Tyler East is the newer of the two; and since it is a bit farther away from the city than Lake Tyler, it hasn't developed as much as a residential lake. The two lakes together present a wonderful atmosphere for boating, skiing and fishing. There are tight environmental controls since much of Tyler's drinking water originates there.
